Good morning,We are looking at the burning bush to add color to our front and backyards. One would be on the front corner of the house replacing a dying (large) evergreen. The other would be at the back center of our backyard deck as the centerpiece with low shrubbery and perennials around the deck and extending to two forsythia’s at each end of the house.Any suggestions as to go ahead and plant them or not plant them? Our intent is to keep them ‘small’… say about 5 to 6 feet in height.

Dwarf Burning Bush tend to get about 8′ tall by 10′ wide so they would require frequent trimming to keep them the size you’re looking for.  You might consider something like a “Wine and Roses” Weigela or another shrub that will be lower maintenance.
