Hello! I am having difficulty with succulents. The one I had has recently died and I am not sure why. I had it on a table where it had access to sunlight throughout the day and I would allow the soil to dry before watering it again. Knowing this is a desert plant, I tried not to overwater it and used a tiny watering can. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

Hard to say what went wrong.  They do like it warm and dry.  If it was in a pot without a hole in the bottom then it may have been still wet at the bottom and dry on the top.  One good overwatering can do them in…especially in winter when they are semi dormant.  They also need direct sun, not just a bright window…it needs to be a south facing window.  They also like it warm so dropping the temp in the house is rough on them.  No food in the winter either
