hi peter, just wondering if I can prune back my acorn squash plants.i have about twenty plants in a row and they are thriving.flowering and looking great. only problem is I have way too many and they are starting to choke out everything else.thank you.

Pruning hard will leave the hollow stems open to pests so it isn’t ideal but it can be done. Just try to remove growth at the ends of the vines.  Here’s a link you might find helpful.  https://www.hortmag.com/plants/fruits-veggies/can-i-prune-a-squash-vine
