We have purchased a good deal of plant from Hewitts for our new home. Doing well. Two of the evergreens that we planted appear to be Western Red Cedars.
They are great looking and growing fast. I worry that their location may not work well over time if they get too large.

I almost hate to trim them since they look so nice. There is a center shoot that is already approaching about 12 feet. Can I manage their size without ruining the look.

thanks

Red Cedar are large trees.  Cutting the tip will stop the upward growth but it will become bushy and wider and likely ruin the classic shape eventually.
