Hi I received some poppy plants for mother’s day.  i know they like full sun. i would like to plant them along my fence but there are fir trees on the other side of the fence would the soil on my side of the fence be too acidic in this area?

thanks,

It might be but only a soil pH test can answer the question.  You can do a quick test to see with a test kit we sell for a couple of bucks and some distilled water. Mixing a little powdered lime into the soil will bring the pH up.  Poppies are somewhat tolerant of soils with a pH of 6.5 (slightly acidic).
