I have Japanese Knotweed growing in my backyard. Upon contact to the leaves, it causes like a baking grease burn to the body. It’s very invasive and I have tried many different ways to remove it, but year after year it returns. I’d like to know if you have any ideas on how to remove it. I’m open to any suggestions Thank you, MicheleI’d appreciate the answer emailed back to me.
This is a difficult problem. Here’s a link that outlines the two tactics used. I have done the “tarp” method and I left it covered for 2 years. Even now a shoot will appear so it is an ongoing battle. https://www.thespruce.com/eradication-of-japanese-knotweed-plants-2131201
