Arlo I have run off from the nursing home behind me. The village I live will do nothing about the water that lays in my back yard every time it rains. I would like to plant something that will dry up the water, I cant even mow the small lawn because it is always wet. if the village I live in will not solve the problem I will. Please help. I would like to plant something hearty I can mow off if possible.

These plants will grow in those conditions but I wouldn’t expect any of them to actually dry the area out much.

 

I don’t know of anything mowable other than grass for the area you describe.
