Deer have eaten our yews. They removed all foliage from the lower 2/3s, and left the upper third where they could not reach. At a recent seminar you mentioned not to top off the yew to promote lower growth but rather to treat the bare stalks to aid their foliage production. What should we use to treat the stalks, when and how to apply.
