I have vintage peonies that have been returning for 35 years now but have not flowered for the last few. Foliage is healthy.

Should I raise them up a bit, or just feed them, and what is best fertilizer for peonies?

The flowers are large, purply red with a deep fragrance, no idea what name. I have been able to find similar for sale. From the garden of a German couple who passed away. They have sentimental value in addition to being really beautiful.

Perhaps trees have grown taller nearby and are shading them?  If you’ve never fed them though I’d do that right away.  Espoma Flower-Tone id perfect for them and what I use on mine.
