Hey Peter, I have blueberries and rhododendron family plants that live among sweet soil loving plants (probably my first mistake) in soil that’s too sweet. I’d like to up the acid level and have heard that 1 cup of vinegar in a gallon of water is a good way to do that, but I don’t know how much to apply in a dose, or how often, and haven’t had a soil test done recently. Do you have suggestions on how to manage this? Thanks!Barb

You’ll need to do a soil pH test under the plants and the go to the garden center and get a small bag of Garden Sulfur and follow the directions on the label to lower the pH to the level the plants need.  Vinegar is NOT a good way to adjust soil pH and will do more harm than good.
