Hi Peter, I’m in Glenmont and our house gets full sun in front from sunrise till about 2pm when it begins to scale the back of the house. Its bright and concentrated out there. We’d like to put a couple of manageable rosebush (or similar) in the front garden to fill things out and bring some color – any recommendation for an easily maintained option? We aren’t terribly skilled at gardening… thanks! Nate

For that light (really not quite enough for roses) I’d suggest Azaleas (I like the Exbury varieties) rhododendron, holly, or Japanese Andromeda.  Hydrangeas would also thrive in that kind of light.
