I am digging a new garden bed and sent a sample in for a soil test. It indicated it was acidic (4.87) and very low in Nitrogen (6ppm). The company said I should be between 20 and 30 ppm.I was going to add Calcium Nitrate (since ammonium further acidifies the soil) and of course lime. But, since both of these contain calcium, I am worried about throwing the calcium in my soil out of balance. Is that possible? I’m in a good range now.
