It sounds like you are doing things correctly. The air roots coming out of the pot are normal. In the wild, these would grow in trees and those rots would anchor the plant to the bark. I’m not sure what you mean by an “easy” way to repot. It may be necessary to break the pot although they don’t need much soil or orchid bark to grow in and require potting infrequently.
