I would like to plant a tree in my front yard. I have dogs so it must be dog friendly. Looking for something colorful/flowering, little to no maintenance and will grow at least 10 feet tall.
Look into flowering crabapple, ornamental cherry and redbud trees. As long as they is plenty of sun they would all be good choices.
