Hi! I’ve recently purchased a home with lots of lawn. I’d like to turn most of it into native plants/shrubs/flowers/grasses in a cottage garden style, using perennials as much as possible. I’m wondering if you know of any landscaping plans of suggested plants? I know things will differ based on spacing, water, orientation, etc, but I’ve seen some useful examples for southern areas (where I moved from), but not here. Thank you!

I just came across this.  Sandra would be someone who could make a plan for you:  https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_kCzmKiIdTb-bmeArONYYGA?fbclid=IwAR0f9Ennp6Rq_mRkSHuo-WOc_92ofqe6fYi8r43e3v95bCDeohr66UntUcw

If you do a search for “Native plant New York” or “Native plants for Zone 5” You should find lists of plant options like THIS. This should give you a good starting point to formulate a plan.
