My 25 yr+ Arborvitae has a light brown discoloration going on. I know that there has been a cardinal inside pooping but no nest. What could this be?Cuthoys@hotmail.com
It probably isn’t the bird. It is normal for the interior foliage to die off as it gets shaded by new growth. There could be some winter wind burn…hard to tell without seeing it. Send a picture if you like. Feeding it with so tree-tone food right now would be a good idea to green it up.
