Good morning Peter
I have a quired, a peanut cactus from my mother-in-law who passed away. I’ve been trying to take care of it, but now it looks like it might be dying.
I read about it and think it has root rot, but I don’t know how to replant it because it is so prickly and delicate, there. Is there a place I can take it to get somebody to help me or is this something that you can help me with.

Once root rot starts on a cactus, it won’t recover. You could cut healthy tips from it and root those. After cutting some tips, let them dry for a few housrs or overnight then slip them into csome cactus soil and water VERY lightyly and they will grow roots in a few weeks. Repotting won’t help.
