Hi Peter I’m thinking of buying a couple of evergreen trees but I’m not sure if it’s too late to plant them. We live in Queensbury can you tell me if it’s still ok to plant them now in December? Is it also ok to buy them and leave the tree in their pots till spring?

They’d be best planted in the ground. You can plant as long as the ground isn’t frozen. If you must winter them in the pots then put them in an area protected from the north and west winds and cover the pots up to the rim in mulch for the winter.
