This will be my third year of having a raised garden. The first year I didn’t have a bug in it. Last year my tomato plants were green and healthy looking, but the next morning every leaf was gone with only the main stem left. On examination they were loaded with very large worms. How can I prevent this from happening again?

It sounds like Tomato Hornworm.   They are easily controlled by hand plucking or spraying with insecticidal soap (not dish soap).  They appear at the same time every year so watch for them at the same time this year at the same time they showed up last year.  HERE’S A LINK you might find interesting.
