I transplanted cone flower’s(4 plants) to a large container with drainage holes. After about a week, the leaves are wilted. Could the soil be too heavy to prevent proper drainage around the roots? There are no insect issues. Suggestions? Thanks.

It is probably just transplant shock. They will be going dormant now anyway so I expect they will bounce back in spring. Coneflowers are best grown directly in the soil outside.
