I’m looking for a flowering vine to climb an approximately 1-foot diameter wood column on my back porch and grow over a trellis that runs along the side of the porch roof. What would you recommend?  I was thinking of a trumpet vine but after doing some research that may not be the best to plant so close to the house, although I like the idea of fast growth. Thank you!
