Hi!

I just stated garnering this year. I have daisies, cone flowers, Lily’s, dianthus, salvia that ai would like to separate and replant. I sort of haphazardly planted and I need to put the tallest in the back. I am near Hudson,Ny. When is the best time to do this? Spring or fall? And what so I need to do when replanting so they don’t die.
thanks I’m advance!!

I like to make “corrections” of my perennial gardens in mid September into early October when is is cooler to reduce stress.  I’ll Use Espoma Bio-Tone food in the planting hole and water in heavily.  You can also move plants in April before They come fully out of dormancy if need be but I prefer fall when I can see better what Im digging out.
