Hello Peter Bowden, I bought a white spruce tree from Hewitt’s a month ago and I was uncovering the root flare today and found that one side of the root flare and several big roots wrap around completely around the root ball. The other half of the root flare looks fine and extend outwards. I did research online and found that roots that wrap around are not good and will cause the tree to be unstable, and even cause death of the tree in the future. What can I do?

You should cut off the circling roots.  Keep it well watered for the rest of the season.
